Mapleton senior Joe Shepard scored 12 points last night in the Sailors defeat by Alsea. The Wolverines outscored the Sailors 57-32. The Sailor ladies won their matchup against the Wolverines 35-17. Mapleton plays Siletz Valley tomorrow night.
Siuslaw Basketball
The Siuslaw boys basketball team was hammered last night by the Marshfield Pirates. The Vikings could not find their rhythm early and were trailing throughout the game. The Pirates capitalized on mistakes taking the game 83-47. The girls games were cancelled due to a COVID-19 exposure. The boys host Elmira at home this Friday.

Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson gave the announcement that due to COVID-19 Protocols the Junction City Three Way Meet scheduled for tomorrow had to be cancelled. No make up date has been set as of yet.
