Triangle Lake Over Mapleton
The Mapleton Boys were on the court last night agains Triangle Lake. Keevyn Walker was the leading scorer with 18 for the Sailors, senior Joe Shepard added 15. Triangle Lake defeated the Sailors 54-39.
Viking Girls Basketball
This evening the Viking Ladies will be on Glen Butler Court to take on the Cottage Grove Lions. The Lions are 5-10 on the season and the Vikings are still looking to secure their first win of the season. The Vikings have had limited practice time over the past two weeks due to having to take a break after an exposure to COVID-19 left them unable to practice. Despite the exposure, no players contracted the virus. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 5:30.
Viking Boys Basketball
Tomorrow it is the Viking boys turn to meet with the Lions. The boys will take the court at 3pm with a 2:45 pregame on KCST.
Rivalry Game
Following the Viking game the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers will continue their rivalry from Eugene. that game will begin at 6:30 on both KCST and KCFM.
Wrestling
Hayden Muller and Macali Lade had outstanding performances in Wednesday’s dual wrestling meet according to coach Neil Wartnik. The hosting school failed to post the results. Muller picked up a pair of pins against her opponents from Cascade and Elmira. Lade started off with two pins against Elmira Falcons and then won, what Wartnik described as a grueling victory, a 4-3 defeat of a Cascade Cougar. Other winners were Yoskar DeLaMora, and Hunter Petterson.
