Weekend Sports:
Saturday the Viking boys fell to 0-3 in league play hosting the visiting Cottage Grove Lions. Lions out-gamed the Vikings 54-37.
On Friday night the Viking Girls fell to the Lions 58-21. Denali Sleeper led the girls with 7 points.
Ducks Finish Sweep of Beavers
The Oregon Ducks made a sweep on the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday night. The Beavers led briefly in the game early in the first half but the Ducks poured it on. With 3 seconds left in the first half Ducks, Eric Williams Junior threw up a prayer from close to the beavers free throw line to sink a three pointer at the buzzer. Final score 78-56. Ducks are 6-3 in the Pac-12. The Beavers are 1-7.
Sailors Basketball
Mapleton Sailors traveled to Mohawk High school on Friday night. Mohawk defeated the Sailors 46-20 the Sailor Girls are back on the court this evening against Siletz Valley.
