Viking Wrestling Results
On Saturday the Viking Boys were on the Mat at the State Championships in Turner. Mason Buss competed in the 160 pound weight class and made it to the final round after 3 straight decisions. Buss met Carson Henderson in the Championship round where he lost by decision 9-2. Dayne Muller (195) Placed 4th in the state tournament. Junior Yoskar De la Mora (126) and sophomore Cort Waggoner (220) were both 1-2 on the day. Joel Sissel (170) lost his first match but then won 3 straight before falling to the #2 seed, Wyatt Livingston of La Grand and then to Collin Hollenback of sweet home.

OSU Coach Wayne Tinkle told the press conference following their 94-55 loss to UCLA that there was no excuse for the poor performance the Beavers gave on Saturday. The Beavers were coming off a tough battle on Thursday against the USC Trojans, but they just did not do anything right according to Tinkle. The Beavers were out rebounded 36-18 had 12 turnovers and shot 45% from the field. The Beavers Face Washington State this evening from Corvallis with game coverage beginning at 7:30 on KCFM.
The Oregon Duck had a tough loss on Saturday against the USC Trojans. The ducks were up by 2 with 25 seconds left when USC drove down the court and tossed up a 3 pointer to take a one point lead. The Ducks Will Richardson missed a layup in the paint with 2 seconds left and the Trojans won 70-69.
