Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports Congratulate junior Jonathan Rose as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Rose won three field events in last week’s Sky-Em Meet. The shot put at 41’-0.75”, the discus at 140’8” a personal record, and the Javelin with a personal record toss of 149’3”
Honorable mention goes to senior Rylee Colton who posted a first place personal record best in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:25.83.
Vikings/Spartans
The Siuslaw Vikings finished up their game against Marist yesterday. The Spartans lit up the Vikings with 9 runs in the top of the fifth inning with no answer from the Viks. Final Score 12-1. The Vikings take the field again today against Elmira at home with a 5 o’clock first pitch. KCST will cover the game beginning at 4:45.
Viking Softball
Viking Softball will be on the field today against Elmira Mapleton at 5pm. Results from yesterday’s double header against Cottage Grove have not been posted.
