WTF Championships
The World Track and Field Championships come to an end on Sunday. And rather than waiting the athletes are now able to adorn their medals immediately after their win. Well at least for a victory lap. The athletes normally have to wait for the official presentation of the medals, but at this event the presenters are handing out 3d printed medals, ones that the athletes have to give back. They will receive their official medal at the awards ceremony that will have their names engraved on them. It takes about 68 seconds to complete the engraving.
Ems Baseball
The Eugene Emeralds begin their 3 game series this evening in Everett, Washington. They will face the Aquasox after taking the week off for the All-Star break.
