Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sport congratulate senior Viking football standout Odin Smith as this week’s Athlete of the Week. In Friday night’s 38-21 victory over Elmira Odin scored three rushing touchdowns and racking up 130 yards on 19 carries against a tough Falcon defense.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to Viking soccer goalie Derrick Vanduch who saved the Vikings from a loss with 7 saves against Creswell including a one-handed diving block in the final minutes of the game.
Viking Volleyball
The Siuslaw Vikings hosted Creswell last night in Volleyball. The Vikings fell in 3 sets. They are now 11-7 and 5-4 in league play.
Viking Soccer
Viking soccer was at Sisters last night. Sisters defeated Siuslaw 8-0.
Mapleton Volleyball
Mapleton volleyball will host Mohawk this evening at 6pm.
