Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports Congratulate senior harrier Kyle Hughes as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Kyle took first place in the Pacific Northwest Regional Cross Country event in Arlington, Washington on Saturday with a personal record time of 16:33.5.
Honorable mention goes to teammate Sam Ulrich who came in second. Ulrich also recorded a personal record best time of 16:34.9.
Lady Ducks
After last night’s win at matthew Knight arena the lady Ducks are now 5-0. The Ducks beat Southern Utah 66-54 but this thanksgiving their toughness will get a big test with the start of the Phil Knight invitational. The Ducks will face number 8 North Carolina. The Tarheels have had a similar schedule to begin their year and are 4-0.
