The Oregon State Beavers put up a tough battle against the Duke Blue Devils. The beavers exchanged the lead with Duke 11 times during the game but in the end came up a little short. Duke won out 54-51. Jordan Pope led the Beavers with 14 points. They face the Florida today at 3 pm with a 2:30 start time on KCFM.
The Oregon Ducks first round opponent in the Phil Knight Invitational was against UCONN and the Huskies had their number. UConn broke away early in the game and while statistically the numbers are similar, the Huskies managed to get a 24 point lead at the final buzzer with a 83-59 victory over the ducks. The Ducks hit round two this evening against Michigan State with a 9 pm tip off and an 8:30 pregame on KCST.
#8 North Carolina defeated the 12th ranked Oregon Ducks yesterday 85-79 TeTina Paopao led the Ducks with 18, Grace VanSlooten had 17 with 11 rebounds in the 79-85 loss. They now face Michigan on Sunday.
The OSU Beaver women face Iowa today at 5:30.
