High School Basketball
The Siuslaw Vikings hosted Sisters on Friday night in high School basketball. Sisters defeated Siuslaw 51-37 for the boys and the Viking girls were defeated 34-19.
Mapleton Sailors will be on the court tonight at home facing the Eddyville Eagles the boys are up first at 5:30 followed by the Girls at 7.
Siuslaw Wrestling
Dayne Muller went 5-0 in last week’s Special District 3A matches. Wrestling 3 times at 220 and twice at 195. Muller also had two forfeited matches to make 7 total wins.
Jacob Mann went 6-1 which included two forfeits in the 182 weight class. Joel Sissel also had a perfect day with 7 wins. He competed 4 times in the 170 pound class with 3 forfeits. In the 160 pound class Terry Elliot was 2-5, Noah Gonzalez was also 2-5 wrestling at 152 pounds. Jacob Hamel went 4-3 at 145. Hunter Petterson was 6-1 at 138 and 132 which included 2 forfeits. Jaxon Chiang was 2-5 wrestling in both the 126 and 132 weight class.
Ducks and Beavers
The Oregon Ducks got past the Utah Utes on Saturday 68-56 Jermaine Couisnard led the Ducks with 18. The Beavers squeeked by Colorado 60-52 with 19 points from Jordan Pope and a double-double from Glenn Taylor Junior with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The beavers head to Tempe on Thursday to face the ASU Sun Devils and the Ducks will be in Tucson.
