Mapleton Basketball
The Triangle Lake Lakers defeated the Mapleton Sailors in boy’s basketball on Saturday. The Sailors struggled late in the game which was held at a neutral site in Junction City. Final score 56-35. Mapleton will play Crane at Crane in round one of the 1A playoffs
OSU Hoops
The Oregon State Beavers were handed another loss this time at the hands of the Washington Huskies. The Beavers only had two players in double figures. Jordan Pope and Glenn Taylor Jr. each had 11. The Beavers led briefly but were dominated by the Huskies in the 61-47 loss.
UO Hoops
The Oregon Ducks got 17 points from Keeshawn Barthelemy but couldn’t close the deal on the Washington State Cougars. With 13 lead changes it was turnovers that lost the game for the Ducks. A last second miss from the 3 point range ended the game. Final 68-65. The Ducks and the Beavers meet this Saturday in Corvallis.
