Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior right hander Noah Dotson as this week’s Athlete of the Week. In addition to a hit and an RBI, Noah pitched a complete game on Saturday against Coquille facing 27 batters and allowing only 2 runs and striking out 5 in the Viking 3-2 victory.
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to sophomore Max Reynolds who got a hit and got on base with two walks and stole 4 bases and scored the tying run in Saturday’s game.
Viking Golf
Siuslaw Viking’s boys golf team won their second outing in a row at the Diamond Woods Golf Course hosted by Harrisburg High School. The Vikings had their lowest combined score of 377. Ryan Klampe led the team with a 10 over par score of 82. Blake Knurowski of East Linn led all golfers with a 78. The Viking ladies team of Ella Mans and Samantha Cody finished third.
