Track and Field Results
The team of Raymond Brito Xilot, Jacob Blankenship, Hunter Petterson and Sam Ulrich are the state champions in the 4×400 meter relay. The team beat out Banks by just over a second at 3:26 flat.
Sam Ulrich also took the state championship in the 800 meter race with a personal record time of 1:55.2. junior Dylan Jensen finished 4th. Ulrich also placed second in the 1500 meter with a PR of 4:07.33.
Senior Noel Hernandez finished 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles. Jonathan Rose is state champion in the discus with a toss of 43.2 meters. And Will Johnson finished third in the triple jump.
Freshman Alison Hughes finished fourth in the 3000 meters.
Ducks Win Pac-12
On Saturday Jacob Walsh hit the go-ahead home run in the bottom of the sixth inning and Oregon held on to beat Arizona 5-4 to win the Pac-12 Conference Tournament. No. 6 seed Oregon has won six games in a row and clinched the program’s first conference title in nearly 50 years. The Ducks have advanced to the regionals in three consecutive seasons.
