This weekend beginning on Thursday is the Nike Outdoor Nationals in track and field. Hayward Field in Eugene will be the site of the competition. The 4X400 relay team of Raymundo Brito-Xilot, Sam Ulrich, Jacob Blankenship and Hunter Petterson will compete. Sam Ulrich will also compete in the 2k Steeplechase. The 4×400 team are the state champions for 3A. Ulrich also holds the state championship in the 800 M.
Oregon Duck Baseball head coach Mark Wasikowski called his team warriors in a post game interview on Sunday surrounded by several members of the team. He said they displayed their hearts and souls on the field. Wasikowski said he is committed to getting the team back to Omaha. The Ducks were two outs away on Saturday and he says they will get there. The Ducks lose 6 players this year to graduation including Tanner Smith and Matt Dallas.
