Sandblasters Baseball
The Three Rivers Sandblasters defeated the North Jackson D2 on Sunday. The Sandblasters blasted D@ 19-2 on the bats of Andrew Jensen-Norman, Ethan Halpin, Max Reynolds, Will Johnson and Jordan Pitcher. In all the Sandblasters had 16 hits. Ethan Halpin was the starting pitcher for the Sandblasters. He pitched 3 innings gave up three hits and struck out three.
Game two for the Sandblasters was against North Medford. The Sandblasters continued their hitting from the first game scoring 10 runs and holding their opponent to just 5. Blankenship was on the mound for Three Rivers. he had a rough outing walking 10 batters and giving up 4 runs. Will Johnson came in for relief for the Sandblasters
Ems Finish Up Series with Tri-City
The Eugene Emeralds finished up their 6 game series at home against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The teams split the series with the Dust Devils taking last nights game after being down 4-2. a 4 run 9th inning sealed the Ems Fate. The teams will get a break for the All-Star week and the Ems will return Friday for a 3 game series against Vancouver on the road.
