Boy’s Soccer Post Another Win
Siuslaw Viking boy’s soccer held off a late breaking attack from Santiam Christian last night with a minute left to hold on and win the game 3-2. Coach Londi Tomaro credits freshman Terrance Masterman for his work in the goalie box that helped the Vikings gain the win along with stellar play from the defense. Siuslaw is much improved from last year and is in second place in the Mountain Valley Conference with a 4-2-1 record and is 7-3-1 overall. There are two games left in the regular season Tuesday the team will travel to La Pine and then will host Crosshill Christian on Thursday. The Lady Viks fell to Pleasant Hill last night 8-0
Sailor Senior Night
The Mapleton Sailors held their senior night last night hosting Alsea in Volleyball. The team lost in straight sets 15-25, 18-25, 23-25. The school honored Kylee Carson on the team as their only senior, but also honored members of the football team who had their season cancelled due to a diminished roster. Seniors Tristan and Dom Stewart and Keevyn Walker were recognized.
Viking Football
Tonight the Siuslaw Vikings will host Banks on the Gridiron. Banks is not in the Mountain Valley Conference, but boasts an undefeated season. The Vikings hope to spoil that record with a kickoff at 7pm. Coast Radio will cover the game on KCST beginning at 6:45.
Ducks and Beavers
The Oregon ducks are back on the gridiron tomorrow on KCST against Washington pregame is at 11am. The Beavers will host UCLA on KCFM beginning at 4pm
