Viking Soccer to Host Play-in
The Siuslaw Viking boy’s soccer team will be heading for a league play-in at their home field. The Vikings ended the regular season ranked 4th after defeating Crosshill Christian/Jefferson last night. Charles Nelson and Derrick Vanduch both had hat tricks on the night and the team scored 5 goals in the first half. The team scored 3 more times in the second ending the game early 8-0. The play-in game will be against Central Linn on October 24th. the last time the two teams met it ended in a 3-3 tie. They are 5-3-1 in league play. The Vikings end the season 6-2-1.
Viking Volleyball
Siuslaw Volleyball was on the court last night against Pleasant Hill. The Billies ended the Vikings hope for post season play defeating them in straight sets.
Viking Football
Tonight the Siuslaw Vikings are headed to Sisters. This is an important game for the Vikings as the playoff picture is coming together with just 2 games remaining. Sisters has been merciless against most of their opponents this year averaging about 42 points a game. They have on loss, a non-league game against Kennedy. Pregame on KCST will begin at 6:45.
Ducks Football
The Oregon Ducks will host the Washington State Cougars on Saturday with a pregame on KCST at 11 am. The Beavers have the week off.
