Viking Boys Defeat Elmira
The Siuslaw Viking boys moved to 3-3 in league play last night as they defeated the Elmira Falcons on the road 48-36. The Vikings will now face the 14-4 Harrisburg Eagles that are undefeated in league play at 6-0. The Vikings will travel to Harrisburg on Tuesday.
The Viking girls lost to Elmira 58-20.
Sailor Basketball
The Mountain West League leading Sailors will hit the court this evening against Eddyville Charter. The boys will be up first at 5:30 followed by the girls.
Ducks Over Sun Devils
The Oregon Ducks got their 10th win at home last night as the defense stepped up to hold the Arizona State Sun Devils at bay. Oregon out rebounded the Sun Devils and Jermaine Couisnard scored 19 and N’Faly Dante followed it up with 16 in the 80-61 win. The Ducks will now defend Matthew Knight arena against the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday. With a 2pm pregame on KCST.
Pope Buzzer Beater Drops Wildcats
The Oregon State University Beavers were able to stun the Arizona Wildcats last night at the buzzer. Jordan Pope dropped a three-pointer as time ran out edging the Cats 83-80. Pope was 5-8 from beyond the arc and scored 31 points in the win. Tyler Bilodeau scored 22. The Beavers will now host the Sun Devils tomorrow with a 3:30 pregame on KCFM?
