Baseball
The Siuslaw Viking boys Baseball team stunned Coquille on Friday with an early ending game after the Viks scored 23 runs holding Coquille to just a single run. The Vikings will have another home game tomorrow against Creswell. The game will be on KCST beginning at 4:15.
Softball
Siuslaw Girls Softball also won their game against Coquille scoring 21 runs in a 21-14 finish. They face Creswell at home tomorrow.
March Madness
The Oregon Ducks are going to March Madness after two phenomenal performances on the court over the weekend first on Friday taking out the Arizona Wildcats 67-59 and then the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday 75-68. N’faly Dante scorched the net hitting 12 for 12 from the field. The Ducks are an 11 seed and will face South Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday. The game will air at 12:30 with a 1pm tipoff on KCST.
Baseball
Duck baseball took two of three from Cal over the weekend taking the series yesterday with a 10-3 victory. The Beavers were in Utah to face the Utes taking two of three. Yesterday the Beavers had a commanding 9-0 lead over the Utes, but the Utes fought back scoring 6 in the fourth, 2 in the 5th, and 5 in the 7th to take the victory 14-11.
