Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Andrew Jensen Norman. Andrew started off the baseball season in a big way registering a no-hitter on opening day for the Vikings. As the Viking defeated the Sutherlin Bulldogs 11-0.

Honorable mention goes to Micah Blankenship who went 3-3 against Sutherlin and pitched 4 hitless innings against Coquille on Friday.

The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the field this evening against Creswell pregame on KCST is at 4:15. Viking Softball will also be on the field beginning at 4:30
Boy’s Golf Places First
Siuslaw Viking Boy’s Golf participated in a special District 2 league play yesterday in Taft, Siuslaw finished in first place with a combined score of 354. Ryan Klampe finished in 2nd place with an 83 and was followed by Will Johnson and Braxton Hulet in 8th place. Camden Linton finished in 13th.
NCAA – Oregon/South Carolina
The USC Gamecocks are 26-7 coming into the NCAA Tournament against Oregon. The Gamecocks have faced Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, and Clemson all teams ranked in the top 25. The Ducks head for Pittsburgh today to prepare for Thursday afternoon’s meeting. The Ducks will play at 1 pm with a 12:30 pregame on KCST.
