With Spring break, many of the sporting events are shut down. A couple of baseball and softball games were scheduled, but weather caused their cancellation. Regular sporting activities will resume next week for High School. Meanwhile the college baseball schedule continues despite the weather. The Oregon Duck were on the mound yesterday in Eugene. The Ducks took an early 4-0 lead over Seattle and then finished with 5 runs in the 7th and 8th innings holding Seattle to just 2 runs on 7 hits. Final score at PK park was 10-2
The Beavers were knotted up at 1-1 in a pitchers battle last night in California against the USC Trojans. Late in the bottom of the ninth two hit batsmen made it on base for the Trojans and a sacrifice bunt put the winning run on third base when the Trojans Brayden Dowd hit a single down the third base line to end the game. The Beavers will try again today to beat the Trojans with a game time of 6pm on KCFM…first pitch at 6:30.
