Viking Baseball
The Siuslaw Vikings fought through some weird weather conditions yesterday on the mound as the Viking Baseball team took on The Outlaws of Sisters in the mountains. Snow, rain, wind and ultimately sunshine made for a tough outing with the Outlaws coming out on top 10-2. The two teams meet again on Thursday here in Florence for a Double header with a 1:45 pregame on KCST.
Viking Softball
On the other side of the school the Viking softball team showed their resilience through the weather capping off an 11 run afternoon and holding the Outlaws to 7 for the Vikings 4th win of the season.
Track and Field
This Friday the boys and girls track and field team will take part in the Wally Ciochetti Invitational in Cottage Grove
Ducks/Beavers
The Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers split the rivalry series 2-2 with last night’s game going to the Ducks. Bryce Boettcher homered twice for the Ducks in the 9-5 victory. The Ducks will face Utah at home for a three game series beginning Friday and the Beavers will head to Pullman Washington to face the Cougars.
