Beaver All-Americans; Lady Duck – Athlete of the Year

Four Oregon State Beaver Baseball players have been named at All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Infielder and slugger Travis Bazzana was a first team pick, right-handed pitcher Bridger Holmes was selected to second team and right-handed pitcher Aiden May and outfielder Gavin Turley were third team picks.  Bazzana is still awaiting the selection of the Golden Spikes award later this week.

Lady Duck – Athlete of the Year

Oregon Duck and Medford native Jaida Ross has been named athlete of the year for the west region by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.  Ross is the NCAA champion in the shot put who broke the collegiate record, for the second time with a toss of 20.01 she became the first collegian woman to cross the 20 meter mark and only the 7th American woman ever.  She now owns four of the top 5 throws in college history.
