Hops Top Ems
The Hillsboro Hops outscored the Eugene Emeralds last night in game one of the 6 game series in Hillsboro. The Hops led the game through 7 innings with a 4-1 score. The Emeralds attempted to mount a comeback in the top of the eighth inning when Bryce Eldridge hit a line drive single scoring Jonah Cox. But the inning ended on a strike out followed by a fly out. Final 4-3 Hops. The series continues this evening at 7:05
OSU Gymnast Makes Olympic Team
One Oregon State University gymnast saw her dreams come true at the 2024 Olympic trials. Jade Carey’s performances on the balance beam, vault, the uneven bars and floor exercise over the two days of competition gave her a 4th place finish overall and a place on the 2024 Paris Olympic squad. Women’s gymnastics will begin on July 28th in Paris.
