After clearing 6’2” and tying for 9th place in the high jump in Eugene last Thursday, Kale Jensen, a Junior at Siuslaw High School took possession of 8th place with a 6’3” jump. Giving him an new personal record in the process.

Getting Ready for Some Football

Oregon Duck Football braces for a new season with new opponents.  The program will begin preseason workouts on July 31st.  the ducks are looking to find a suitable replacement for Buck Irving who led the Pac-12 in rushing over the previous 2 years.  The Ducks have their sights set on several possibilities with one being Jordan James who was their short yardage specialist running for 759 yards averaging 7.1 yards per carry.

Ems Against Dust Devils

The Eugene Emeralds put up a victory on Saturday night against the Tri-City Dust Devils, but last night were unable to overcome a 6 run deficit although they scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th inning.  The Ems have tonight off but begin a 6 game home stand against Spokane on Tuesday.
