Ems Bats a Blazin’

The Eugene Emeralds bounced back from the 3-2 defeat on Tuesday to light up the scoreboard against the Everett Aqua Sox. The scoring started after the Ems loaded the bases in the first inning and with two outs catcher Luke Shilger hit a grand slam home run for a 4 run lead.  The Aqua Sox came out in the bottom of the third to score 3 runs to keep the game close but the Ems answered right back in the third with 3 of their own for a 7-3 lead  they would score one more in the fourth and Everett would bring 2 across the plate in the bottom of the inning.  The two teams scored one each in the 6^th. A 5-run 7^th inning and a run in the 8^th and one in the 9^th capped off the night for the Ems winning 16-9 on 18 hits.  Game three of the series is this afternoon.
