Jensen Adds to Record Book
Siuslaw Viking Kale Jensen continues to impress as he surpasses another record last week at the Oregon Track Club’s meet at Hayward Field on Thursday. Kale reached 6’4” to win the 13-18 age group. He is now in a 3-way tie for 6th place all time at Siuslaw High School. He has two years of competition left at Siuslaw as he enters his junior year.
Ems Split Series
The Eugene Emeralds finished up their 6 game series in Everett last night, evening the series with a win on Saturday and a win last night. The Ems entered the 9th inning in a 4-4 tie when left fielder Vaughn Brown smashed a triple to left field and came home on a sacrifice fly right fielder Alex Suarez. The Ems are back in a 3-way tie for third place in the division.
