Viking Football
Siuslaw Football is gearing up for their annual football camp next week. It will be the official start of training for the athletes. However, they are in the weight room for training this week. Siuslaw will move to 3A special district 4 as part of the Far West League. They will face Marshfield for their first game on September 6th. It will be a home game for the Vikings. Their first league game will not be until October 4th.
Ems Get Battered
The Eugene Emeralds forgot to show up to last nights opener against the Canadians. The Ems went scoreless and hitless for 8 innings while Vancouver pounded the Ems with 20 hits and 18 runs. The Ems 2 hits and runs came in the top of the ninth. The first off of a Jonah Cox solo home run and the second with a double by Bryce Eldridge who drove in one run. The series continues this evening from Vancouver.
