Mapleton Volleyball will hit the courts at the end of this month. The team will have two matches on August 29th beginning with Riddle High School and then Yoncalla.
Friday night, August 23 is the night for the Siuslaw Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event will be at the Florence Event Center. Social hour will begin at 5 pm and a taco bar dinner will be served following. Tickets for the event are available at bit.ly/siuslawtickets.
The Eugene Emeralds struggled at home last night down 7-0 in the bottom of the ninth inning. The only bright spot for the Ems was stopping the shutout with two outs in the final inning. Bryce Eldridge lifted a ball to right center field that cleared the fence for the Ems only run on the night. The two teams meet again this evening in Eugene.
