Ems Season Winds Down
The Eugene Emeralds ended their series against the Everett Aqua Sox with a win last night. A 4 run 8th inning sealed the deal for the struggling Ems. They have one more series left against Vancouver.
College Football
The Oregon Duck and the Oregon Beavers celebrated opening weekend in College football. The Ducks coach Dan Lanning said they see room for improvement in the 24-14 win over Idaho who were not ready to give in to the #3 ranked ducks. Lanning gave credit to Idaho saying they did not give the Ducks anything for free.
The Oregon State Beavers put up some offense on Idaho State scoring 38 points and holding the Bengals to 15. OSU Running backs Jam Griffin and Anthony Hankerson ran for 160 and 158 yards respectively. QB Gevani McCoy was 9 for 10 passing with 114 yards. In the win.
