Viking Soccer
The Siuslaw Viking boys’ soccer team suffered their first lost last night at home against a team they saw in the playoffs last year. Dayton came out strong in the first half scoring 5 goals to Siuslaw’s 1 goal. Coach Londi Tomaro said they are not used to seeing the fast-paced offense of a team like Dayton and it took time to adjust. In the second half they held Dayton to 2 scores while managing a single score for the Vikings. Final 7-2 Dayton. The Vikings begin league play on the 24th.
Football
The Viking football squad will be on the field this evening at Hans Peterson field. they will face Cascade Christian who scored 68 points on their last opponent. Gametime is at 7pm with a 6:45 pregame on KCST.
The Oregon State Beavers will face Purdue. That game will be on KCFM beginning at 4:30 with a 5:30 Kickoff.
