Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Kimberly Martinez-Munoz as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Kimberly has been a consistent leader for the Viking Volleyball team and last week had an impressive 0.533 hitting efficiency with 16 kills and no errors on 30 attempts and 22 digs in the win against Glide. She added 10 kills and 35 digs against Douglas for back to back double/doubles.
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to Viking footballer Ryan Klampe who had a 22 yard reception for a score and a late 60 interception for a touchdown in Friday’s win against the Brookings Harbor Bruins.
Viking Soccer
Viking Soccer takes the field tonight at 6pm is a special district playoff. The team will take on the Sisters Outlaws on Hans Petersen Field. the winner will advance to the State Playoffs
