Ducks Survive with Late Surge

Oregon’s Nate Bittle and Jackson Shelstad powered the Ducks to a thrilling 78-75 comeback win over the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis. Trailing by 12 late in the second half, Oregon clawed back with Bittle’s career-high 23 points and 14 rebounds leading the charge. Shelstad added 15 points, including 11 in the second half, and hit a clutch runner to seal the deal. Head Coach Dana Altman praised Bittle’s dominant inside play, saying, “He had a heck of a game.” Despite 20 points from OSU’s Michael Rataj, the Ducks’ late defensive surge and Shelstad’s hot hand secured their fourth consecutive one-possession road win over their in-state rivals. Next up for the Ducks is Texas A&M on Tuesday in Las Vegas.  The Beavers travel to Denton Texas to face North Texas on Monday.

Lady’s Schedule

The OSU women will be in Champaign Illinois this evening against the university of Illinois. The undefeated Lady Ducks will face Georgia Tech on Monday from Hawaii.
