Viking Hoops
The Siuslaw Viking boys and girls basketball teams will be on the court this evening. The girls hope to use the momentum from Tuesdays win in Reedsport against a formidable opponent in North Valley. The girls game will tip off at 5pm and the boys will be at 6:30. The games will not be aired on KCST.
Mapleton Hoops
The Mapleton basketball teams will face Perryville. The Sailor girls have started the season 3-1. The Mapleton Boys are at 2-2. The girls hit the court first at 5:30
Coast Classic Tournament
45 teams will converge on North Bend today and tomorrow for the Coast Classic Wrestling tournament. wrestlers from Siuslaw/Mapleton will be up against some 5A powerhouses according to coach Neil Wartnik. Last year Macali Lade took home a championship from this tournament. The team may be a few wrestlers shy as some had expressed desire to attend the Ethan Dougherty Memorial at the school tomorrow.
College Hoops
The Oregon State Beavers will face UC Irvine tomorrow in Corvallis. The game will air on KCFM with a pregame time of 1:30 and tip off at 2 pm. The Oregon Ducks are scheduled for a Sunday tip off with a 2:30 pregame on KCST.
