Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Siuslaw Basketball player Chaz Edblom as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Chaz Scored 11 point and was masterful on defense and on the boards. And had several key shots in the second half to help the Vikings secure their Victory over Harrisburg on Friday.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to Siuslaw freshman girl’s wrestler Hailey Taylor who went 3 for 5 on the mat at the Lady Dragon Invitational. Hailey scored 7.5 points for the Vikings wrestling in the 105 pound weight class.
Basketball Tonight
Tonight the Siuslaw Vikings will host Sweet Home in their final non-league matchup. The game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 5:15 with the Viking Girls up first. The Vikings will open league play on Friday on the road against Sutherlin.
The Mapleton Sailors will be at Triangle Lake this evening for boys and girls basketball
