Officials Needed
The Oregon Athletic Officials Association (OAOA) and the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) are recruiting officials for the upcoming high school spring sports seasons. Registration is now open, with an urgent need for baseball and softball umpires. Becoming an official offers several benefits, including staying active in athletics, maintaining physical fitness, and earning extra income—averaging $80 per game officiated. According to OAOA Executive Director Jack Folliard, Oregon faces an urgent need for officials in all sports. He emphasizes that officiating allows individuals to positively impact their communities, support students, and build meaningful relationships.
