Beaver Win
The Oregon State men’s basketball team secured a dominant 83-63 win over Pepperdine Thursday at Gill Coliseum. Michael Rataj led the Beavers with 22 points, shooting 9-for-12 and a perfect 4-for-4 from three. Nate Kingz added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, while Damarco Minor contributed 13 points and nine assists. The Beavers shot 60.7% from the floor and matched a season-high with 11 threes. A second-half surge, fueled by Rataj’s three consecutive triples, extended the lead to 18 as Oregon State cruised to victory. The Beavers host Santa Clara on Saturday.
Viking Basketball
The Siuslaw Vikings are at home this evening to face Coquille. The Viking boys will be up first at 5:30 with a 5:15 pregame on KCST. The girls will follow. Ryan Stahel and Jay Nilles will be on hand to describe the action.
Sailor Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors boys basketball team suffered a loss last night against Mohawk falling 43-38. The Sailor Girls suffered their first league loss against Mohawk in a close battle losing 36-34.
College Hoops
The Oregon Ducks will be on the road tomorrow to face Minnesota, pregame on KCST is at 12:30.
