Ducks and Bruins
The No. 16 Oregon Ducks are back on the road Thursday night, facing UCLA in a key Big Ten matchup. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT at Pauley Pavilion, with television coverage on FS1. Radio coverage begins at 7 p.m. on KCST. This will be the Ducks’ first visit to UCLA as Big Ten opponents, but the rivalry remains intense. Oregon is 42-95 all-time against the Bruins, with a 16-14 record under head coach Dana Altman. The Ducks will look to bounce back after a heartbreaking 73-71 loss in their first meeting this season, decided by a last-second three-pointer. Last season, the teams split their regular season games, each winning at home, before Oregon edged UCLA 68-66 in the Pac-12 tournament. With conference standings at stake, the Ducks will aim to even the season series and make a statement on the road.
Viking Basketball
Tomorrow night the Siuslaw Vikings will head to glide for boys and girls basketball. Junior Varsity games will begin at 4pm with the Varsity boys taking the court at 5:30 the girls to follow at 7. KCST will broadcast the Varsity games beginning at 5:15.
Wrestling
Viking Wrestling will split up this weekend with the boys heading to Junction city and the girls on the road to Harrisburg.
Sailor Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors will be on the court this evening at home against Eddyville. Game time for the varsity at the Sailor Dome is at 5:30 starting with the Sailor girls.
