Accusations Lead to Show and Event Cancellation
The Children’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops, or C.R.O.W., is facing an internal investigation following concerns raised about its programs. The controversy has led to the resignation of two board members and the cancellation of both a fundraiser and the organization’s upcoming production of Matilda. In a statement, C.R.O.W.’s Board of Directors said they have launched a comprehensive review with independent professionals to ensure fairness and accountability. While details remain undisclosed, the board emphasized their commitment to safety, integrity, and transparency. They added that no further comments will be made until the investigation is complete. C.R.O.W. has long been a staple of the local arts community, and leaders say they are dedicated to upholding the trust and well-being of all participants.

RV Manager Seeks County Help with Encampment
The manager of a Mapleton RV park is raising concerns over an unregulated camp at the former Forest Service building site on Highway 126. In an email to local officials, Pam Sievers claims the property, owned by businessman Reinhard Pollman, is creating environmental and safety hazards, including untreated wastewater draining into the Siuslaw River, loose dogs, illegal fires, and drug activity. Lane County Commissioner Ryan Ceniga confirmed awareness of the situation, but a compliance officer’s review was delayed. The county expects an assessment later this week. More details to follow as the investigation unfolds.
