Viking Golf
The Viking boys golf team were in Salem yesterday for the first event of the season. The team finished second overall after a first place 3 over par 75 f rom Ryan Klampe. Micah Blankenship finished in third place with an 80 and Will Johnson scored an 83 for a 7th place finish.
Today the Viking girls will be at Florence Golf links for competition and the Viking softball and baseball team will be home against Pleasant Hill.
Track and Field
Thursday the Viking Track and Field team will host the Siuslaw Icebreaker with competition beginning at 4 pm.
Mapleton Softball
Mapleton softball is scheduled to begin today with a game against Marshfield in Marshfield at 4:30.
College Basketball Crown
A brand new tournament will debut this year for college basketball. The College Basketball Crown. The brain child of Fox Sports and the Anschutz Entertainment Group will feature teams that were not chosen for the NCAA tournament. the Oregon State Beavers will have their first game of the tournament on April first against the University of Central Florida from Las Vegas.
