With sunshine predicted for today the Siuslaw Vikings will hope to get the second game of their season completed. On Friday athletic director Chris Johnson note that a schedule change was in effect and that the Siuslaw Viking boys baseball team will travel to Bandon.  Because of spring break, the game will be played early afternoon with a 1:45 pregame on KCST.  The Viking softball team will also be in Bandon, they will participate in a double header beginning at 2pm.

The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball season came to a heartbreaking end Sunday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to former conference rival Arizona, 87-80, at Climate Pledge Arena. Oregon jumped out to a 24-10 lead early but lost momentum before halftime and never regained the edge. Jackson Shelstad led with 25 points, while Nate Bittle posted his second double-double of the tournament. The Ducks, now 25-10 on the year, fell in the second round for the second straight season. Coach Dana Altman praised his team’s fight, saying they “battled to the end.”

The Mapleton/Elmira softball team will have two games today as part of the North Medford Tournament.  first up is Philomath at 8am and then Yreka at noon.

The Oregon Ducks Baseball team took 2 out of 3 games over the weekend against Rutgers taking the rubber match on Sunday 4-2.

The Oregon State Beavers swept Cal Poly in 3 games.  Sunday’s game ending 8-2.
