Attempted Arson

Authorities have not yet released details regarding an incident reportedly occurring Friday at the Sutton Lake Campground, where a woman allegedly attempted to set a vehicle on fire while its owner was out running on nearby trails. The story began circulating over the weekend on local social media platforms, with several posts describing the woman being confronted and ultimately arrested at the scene. However, as of Monday morning, there has been no official statement from either the Oregon State Police or the Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirming an arrest or providing additional context. Without verification from law enforcement, it remains unclear what exactly transpired. While social media often serves as a rapid source of community information, it can also amplify unverified or inaccurate claims. Coast Radio will continue to monitor official channels and provide updates if and when more information becomes available.
