OSU Beavers Basketball
The Oregon State men’s basketball team came up just short in a 76-75 loss to UCF Tuesday night at the Inaugural College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas. The Beavers battled back and forth all game and had a chance to win with a late three-pointer, but it didn’t fall. Maxim Logue posted a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. Liutauras Lelevicius led the team with 20 points, and Damarco Minor added 16. Oregon State ends the season 20-13, marking just their third 20-win season in the last 35 years.
Vikings Baseball
The Siuslaw Vikings will head to North Bend for a preseason baseball game today. North Bend is 3-2 in early play. The Bulldogs are a part of the 4A Sky-Em league. Coast Radio will not cover the game due to the April edition of Our Town this afternoon, but Saturday’s home double-header against sweet home will have an 11:45 start time on KCST.
Viking Softball was in Newport yesterday and had a tough loss against the Cubs losing 7-6. They will play Sweet home at home on Saturday.
The Oregon Ducks have a mid week game against Portland this afternoon from Portland beginning at 5pm.
