Siuslaw Track and Field

Siuslaw sophomore Davian Frazier posted personal records to win the high jump and take second in the triple jump at Wednesday’s junior varsity track meet in Sutherlin. Frazier cleared 5 feet, 10 inches in the high jump and went 36-5.5 in the triple. Senior Chance Jones placed second in the discus with a personal best of 99-2. Freshman Claire McNeill was runner-up in both the 800 and 1500. Siuslaw’s varsity competes today at the John Oliver Invitational, while others head to the Bandon JV Challenge.

Viking Baseball

Siuslaw hosts South Umpqua High School today in both baseball and softball. They are both double-header games.  Both early games start at 3pm with the Viking boys on the air on KCST beginning at 2:45.

College Baseball

Gavin Turley belted two home runs and Wilson Weber had a career-high five hits as sixth-ranked Oregon State beat CSUN 13-8 Thursday night. AJ Singer added four hits and Aiva Arquette hit his 12th homer. Eric Segura struck out eight in relief to earn the win as the Beavers improved to 28-7. Game two of the three game series will be this afternoon at 4:30 with a 4pm pregame on KCFM

The Oregon Duck will face UCLA tonight in Baseball from PK Park in Eugene. The Ducks are 25 and 10 for the season with 18 home wins. The Number 10 Bruins are 21-8, losing their last game to the Oregon State Beavers.
