Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports:

The Viking bats came alive yesterday, Siuslaw put up 10 hits in an 8-7 Far West League victory on the baseball diamond over  the Douglas Trojans.  Joel Sissell picked up the win on the mound and helped himself at the plate with a bases loaded, 3 RBI Double.  At one point, Siuslaw was up 8-1, but the Trojans consistently chipped away at the lead, putting up six more before the Vikings stopped them in the 7th.  The two teams will meet again Friday in Winston for a double header.

On the Softball Diamond, the Lady Vikings fell to the Trojans 17-1.  They too will wrap up the three game series with two in Winston on Friday.

In College Baseball the Oregon State Beavers have moved up three spots from six to number 3.  They extended their win streak to 12 now with a pair of wins over Gonzaga edging the Bulldogs 4-3 Monday evening then wrapping up the two game mini-series yesterday afternoon 8-3.

In Eugene, the Portland PIlots scored 6 runs late in the game, coming from behind for a 10-9 victory over the Ducks at PK Park.  The Ducks had moved up three spots in the rankings from 16 to 13 on Sunday mostly on the strength of a series win over UCLA.  Oregon will host Oregon State for a three game series beginning Friday evening.
