Siuslaw Baseball

After a 5-1 lead fell apart for the Vikings in Sutherlin yesterday the Vikings had to battle with the Bulldogs to take the win.  The Vikings managed 5 more runs while holding Sutherlin to 8 runs for a 10-8 win.  The two teams will battle again for the final home game double header this Friday.  The Vikings will have next week off before finishing off the season against Glide.

Viking Softball

The Viking softball team fell short by one run yesterday as the Bulldogs outlasted Siuslaw 8-7.  The team was led under Amanda Richards after the sudden resignation of Viking Head coach Brian Riggs.  Riggs cited personal reasons for the departure.

College Baseball

The Oregon State Beaves and the Oregon Ducks finished up their 4 game series in Corvallis last night. The Beavers could not find their rhythm as the Ducks completed their sweep of the Beavs. 8-4.  The Ducks now head to Lansing Michigan to take on Michigan State on Friday and the Beavers head to Hawaii.
