The fate of the Oregon State Beaver’s College world series run will be decided today in Omaha. However showers and thunderstorms could delay the game. Yesterdays games were put on hold due to showers and thunderstorms and the forecast for today includes more of the same. The Beavers are scheduled to face Loiusville at 11 am this morning with a pregame at 10:30. The Beavers and the cardinals both have one loss and the winner today will go on to face coastal Carolina who have yet to falter in the series. Whomever wins will have to defeat the Chanticleers twice to move ahead.
Littlefoots Baseball
The Florence Littlefoots wrapped up the Father’s Day weekend tournament with two championships and a runner-up finish. The Majors team, ages 12 and under, went 5-0 and edged Coos Bay 9-8 in the title game at the Clash at the Coast–Gehlke Classic. The Rookies, 8 and under, also finished undefeated, beating Lincoln City for the championship. The Minors, ages 10 and under, took second place after a semifinal win over Coos Bay and a loss to Coquille in the final. Dallas Henry was named MVP in the Majors division.
