Canham Gets Coaching Honor

Oregon State’s Mitch Canham has been named the American Baseball Coaches Association West Region Coach of the Year. In his sixth season as head coach, Canham led the Beavers to their eighth College World Series appearance, finishing 2025 with a 48-16-1 record. The Beavers reached their eighth consecutive NCAA postseason, the longest streak in program history, and hosted their eighth Super Regional. Canham, a two-time national champion as a player, now holds a 224-103-1 record as head coach. He’s the first Beaver coach to earn the honor since Pat Casey in 2018.

Ems Dunk AquaSox

The Eugene Emeralds are a half game behind the league leaders in the second half of the season.  The Ems last night in Everett  pounded out 15 hits and scored 12 runs including a 7 run third innings as they demolished the AquaSox. 3rd baseman Dayson Croes blasted a Grand Slam as part of the third inning scoring.  Game two of the series is this evening.
