Ems Win Streak Breaks
The Eugene Emeralds fell 5-4 to the Spokane Indians in a wild finish Tuesday night. Down 3-0, the Ems rallied with four unanswered runs in the 7th and 8th innings, highlighted by a 412-foot solo homer from Cole Foster in his first game back since mid-June. Eugene took a 4-3 lead after a clutch walk and a balk, but in the bottom of the 9th, Spokane drew five straight walks—capped by a walk-off walk—to seal the win. Despite the loss, the Ems remain 13-3 in the second half and hold a 2.5-game lead in the standings.
