Florence Police responded to a disturbance around 6:50 a.m. Monday near 1750 43rd Street involving a multi-vehicle crash and a man reportedly yelling at a woman. Officers determined the suspect, 53-year-old Patrick F. Hudson-McMullen of Florence, had intentionally rammed his vehicle into two cars belonging to his ex-girlfriend, with whom he’s in a custody dispute. A third vehicle was also damaged in the chain reaction. Hudson-McMullen was found wearing body armor, which is prohibited under Oregon law during certain crimes and for those with specific felony convictions. He was arrested and lodged in the Florence City Jail and is being transferred to Lane County Adult Corrections. Charges include Reckless Endangering, multiple counts of Criminal Mischief, Unlawful Possession of Body Armor, and Disorderly Conduct.
